I began taking pictures as a hobby in 2009. I carried a small digital camera with me as I went on walks through my neighborhood or traveled to different cities and states, taking pictures of landscapes, cityscapes, and anything that caught my eye. I got into the habit of taking candids at social gatherings.
I love photography both as a way to document memories and as a way to look at things from unusual angles. My favorite photographers are Ansel Adams for landscapes, and Vivian Maier for street photography. |
Jacqueline Tetrault photographed my sister and I for our business (Hound and Country Pet Care). She was professional, really affordable and I was amazed at how well the pictures came out. She made both of us feel very comfortable and the whole thing took very little time for some amazing pictures that I will be using to promote my business. Highly recommend!! |
In 2017 I learned about portrait photography by working seasonal jobs at Hockmeyer Studios and The Picture People.
From 2018 to 2023 I worked as reporter and photographer for The Pilot. The same year I started there, I began doing freelance work, taking pictures for friends' projects, businesses, and special events.
